I've been wanting to try this place for quite some time. I finally got a chance to try their ice cream last night and this place definitely lives up to the hype.....so much so that I came back tonight for ice cream again. What I really like about Clementine's is that they have really unique flavors, including booze-filled flavors. I've tried the Park Avenue Coffee inspired ice cream, the Strawberry with Balsamic Vinegar and White Pepper, and the Toffee Butter Brickle. The Toffee Butter Brickel is probably my favorite, but I also really liked the other two flavors as well. I wanted really badly to try their take on an affogato, but they didn't have the right dish in stock for an affogato so I didn't get to try it (bummer). My sister tried their Mint Chocolate Stout and their Maple Bourbon. Although I thought the alcoholic taste was too strong, she really loved them both. You can get their ice cream either in a dish or in a cone (both regular and homemade waffle). The place itself is pretty easy to miss, but you should be able to find it if you turn at Sqwires (heading toward I-44) and go down a few blocks. The place itself isn't that big, but there are a few places to sit inside and outside. You can also do what my sister and I did, which is to get your ice cream and then take a nice stroll around Lafayette Park. Overall, a great find for ice cream. I most certainly will return again in the very near future.

I looove ice cream. When I was pregnant, everyone asked my cravings and ice cream was it. And still is despite having my baby. Now that I think of it, it was before getting pregnant too! But I digress... I heard about this place and planned a night out around having it for dessert! It's an easy walk if you're eating at a Lafayette Square eatery (which we were). It's a little off the square and quieter. Has a nice cute patio and was surprisingly busy for having been open a week at the time. We were greeted by the very friendly staff and offered many samples. I stuck with the "nice" flavors. They were all delicious! I ended up getting the after dinner mint and the toffee flavor. They explained to me that the toffee in the ice cream was the owner's mother's recipe. YUM!! We all got the small size, which comes with two flavors. It was enough and I thought the price was fair for the quantity and quality. The waffle cones smelled divine but I stuck with a cup. Others had the cone and raved - next time I'll get it. It was divine. So creamy and delicious. I'll be back for sure to have more! Something tells me that it's only going to get crazier here as the word gets out!

The BF and I came here since we were in the area. I read about this place and had to check it out. The staff is great, very pleasant, friendly ladies whom are eager to assist and very knowledgeable about the products. The ice cream flavors are unique and delicious. The quality is premium and smooth. The shop smells heavenly, especially since they're constantly making waffle cones while you order. The booze ice cream flavors are a definite must try mixed with the nonalcoholic flavors. They do ask for I.D. The salted caramel with candied bacon add on is the bees knees. A nice treat out of the ordinary.

What better way to celebrate my 100th review than by highlighting an awesome ice cream place that has stolen my heart? Nothing that I can think of! Deciding what flavors of ice cream to get was a difficult choice, but giving Clementine's 5 stars was an easy choice (and it's not just because I like ice cream in general). I could go on about how adorable the decor is (which it is), and how great the customer service is (which it definitely is, especially with Tamara, the owner, taking her time to talk to my husband and I about her store and what makes it a micro creamery), but the main reason for the 5 stars is the quality and flavors of all the ice cream. You can tell that a lot of thought went into creating each of the flavors and selecting the ingredients, as evidenced by the delicious flavor combinations. I think I must have tried about half of the non-alcoholic flavors available and they were so delicious! My absolute favorite was the strawberry with balsamic... sooooo good! It was rich and creamy and I could taste the strawberries in it. Mmmmm! I also liked the front porch mint, the coffee, and the olive oil lemon verbena flavors. My husband and I got a large size to share (5 scoops), but there isn't a photo because I got too excited and forgot about taking a photo before I started eating it. Oops! I have no doubt that I will return (Clementine's will be what I suggest if any of my friends want to get ice cream in the future), especially since I didn't get to try any of the "naughty" ice creams (ones that incorporate alcohol) due to not having my ID (my husband drove us there). Darn! Anyway, all the more reason to return quickly!

Oh my goodness, Clementine's is wonderful. A chance read of Sauce Magazine's spot on them brought me here not totally realizing they'd only been open a week. Old fashioned flavored ice cream just sweetened the deal. Literally. The little shop is cute but obviously it's the inventive flavors that bring people in the door. If you're prone to indecision, this will be a challenge. The good news is that there's no limit on how many free tastes you get. I went with the old fashioned and a boozy banana that was incredible. Don't forget to add the salted candy pecans. While we were eating, the owner Tamara chatted us up. She was super nice. Come get your fancy ice cream on and bring your eating pants. See you there.

What is there not to love? Besides the lack of air conditioning on a hot summer day, this place is incredible. A small corner building turned home made ice cream shop. We came in after reading a fellow Yelpers review of the place and immediately was impressed with the wide selection of ice cream. The lady working behind the counter explained that the left side was alcoholic and the right side was non alcoholic and allowed us to try as many as we wanted. I tried the peanut butter chocolate and gooey butter cake from the non alcoholic side and the banana rum and chocolate milk stout from the alcoholic side. All 4 were delicious, but I stuck with a scoop of gooey butter cake and a scoop of chocolate milk stout. The ice cream was creamy and delicious! I love that it is all made here in St. Louis with St. Louis ingredients. We will be back! I want to try the maple bourbon!

Officially my favorite ice cream parlor... ever! I feel like everything was so well thought out. From the website to the flavors to the decor. Everything just screams super-premium, and well it is! There are both naughty (boozy) and nice (non-boozy) flavors. If you want to sample or buy some of the boozy stuff, make sure you have your ID because they will check. There were so many delicious sounding flavors that I felt like I wanted to try them ALL. The clerks behind the counter were very helpful and knowledgeable the flavors and allowed my wife and I to try multiple flavors. I really felt like all the ones we tried were really great. The flavors were much more complex than other ice cream parlors I have been to. We ended up getting the Grand Cru size, which is basically the large (5 scoops). We got the Olive Oil Lemon Verbena, Decadent Coffee, Strawberry with Balsamic and White Pepper, Gooey Butter Cake, and Front Porch Mint. I would say my favorites were the strawberry and the verbena. Though 5 scoops didn't look like a ton of ice cream, don't let it fool you. The ice cream is very rich, creamy, and dense. It was just the perfect amount for my wife and I to split. A lot of the flavors are flavor creations with local St. Louis businesses, like the gooey butter from Park Ave and the Old Fashioned from StilL 630. I just really love that this local business is partnering up with other local businesses to "bring a whole new experience to the familiar flavors" we love. (I stole that from their website :P) We also got a chance to talk with Tamara. She was very friendly and really passionate about her new business. I could tell that she really cared about the customers, welcoming each and every one of them when they came through the door. She even took the time to explain what a microcreamery was. She used the analogy of a microbrewery, but of course it's a little different since we're dealing with ice cream. Microcreameries make more than 16% butterfat ice cream and have to be small-batch, hand-crafted, and all natural ice cream with less than 20% overrun. Overrun, she explained was the amount of air whipped into the ice cream. Most typical ice cream producers have much higher than 20% overrun. I'm just so glad that Tamara decided to open up such an amazing ice cream parlor in St. Louis. Yet another reason I love St. Louis. I will definitely be back and will spread the word!

This place is awesome. If you already have a sweet tooth and are feeling adventurous, you MUST stop by here. The "boozy" ice cream flavors are legit, and the other classic flavors are delicious. While the smallest size you can get is $4.50, it is actually two scoops, so you can try two flavors. I obnoxiously tried most of the flavors available, and I loved the moscow mule, key lime pie, olive oil lemon verbena, and sweet corn. The vegan flavor available is coconut based, but chocolate. My only request is that the owner expand the vegan selection, because all of the lactose-intolerant people would love her forever. The flavors on the website are not completely up to date due to quick turnover of flavors at the shop, but it should give you a good idea.

A little know fact, Rhode Islanders eat more ice cream per person than anywhere else in the USA, and as a native, I know my ice cream. I also know that custard is not ice cream nor is gelato (although both have their place in the Pantheon of cold sweet deserts. Without starting something with my friends here in American's heartland-STL is not the epicenter of great ice cream, yes we have ice cream with its own entertainment (Ices Plain and Fancy) but really, if you want really great ice cream especially in the STL city, not so many choices. Now we have Clementine's. I will make the bold statement that they have some of the best if not the best chocolate ice cream that can be gotten in STL. It's flavor is rich and its creamy like nothing else I've had here in STL. As a Rhode Islander, I can also attest that their coffee ice cream is among the best I've ever had. On the downside, its expensive and the portions are small, but if your a quality vs. quantity person, this is the place to go.

+ Perfect little sweet spot + Good excuse to take a stroll after dinner + Unique, well-crafted flavors Clementine's is just exactly what was missing in Lafayette Square - a casual little ice cream spot to satisfy an after-dinner sweet tooth without having

Over the last few weeks, I have read about Clementine's multiple times between magazines, e-mails, etc. and since I LOVE ice cream, I figured I was due a visit. This shop is tucked away on a dead-end street in Lafayette Square. The outside is pretty unassuming, while the inside is decorated very nicely. You can tell it was recently renovated, but it still has a very old school feel to it. There is also a cute little patio you can enjoy your ice cream on (weather dependent). There are about 20 or 30 selections to choose from, a third have booze in them and the rest are kid-friendly. I taste-tested multiple flavors since they have SO many unique offerings but ultimately decided on 1 scoop of mint and 1 scoop of strawberry/balsamic/white pepper. Both were creamy and delicious, but the strawberry was the better pick in my eyes. It was bursting with fresh strawberry flavor, which was further elevated by the contrasting flavors or balsamic and white pepper. A really stellar ice cream if you ask me! I'm a little delayed in posting this review, so it seems like I am due another visit here sometime soon. On my second visit I will be interested to see how many flavors have stayed the same and how many have changed. I heard there might be a Yelp event here sometime soon, so I have my fingers crossed that Aaron will be making that happen!

Finally, I have found ice cream in STL that makes my Wisconsin heart sing. This ice cream is perfect. Low overrun (ice cream speak for thick and creamy), and unique flavors of both "Nice" and "Naughty" varieties. You can taste as much as you want. Bring an ID if you want to try the "naughty" flavors - they have booze! I think Clementine's strength also lies in their build your own sundae option. So many creative toppings (like bacon, whAAA?!!!) on top of their already fantastic ice cream make for a truly special experience. Clementine's atmosphere fits in seamlessly to its Lafayette Square location. It's fun and modern, and in a quiet spot perfect for stopping in on a whim. It's the adult version of ice cream heaven.

Clementine's has quickly become my favorite dessert stop in the city. Lafayette is super charming - the perfect place for this sweet little scoop of heaven. I'm definitely a chocolate ice cream lover, and both their "naughty" and "nice" flavors are more than appealing. I strongly prefer it over Jeni's, which just opened in the CWE, and even prefer it over Gelateria del Leone. Why? The selection at Clementine's is better, sweeter, and the kick of their alcoholic flavors is is just enough to bring a little fire to their ices. No other place in town seems to reliably offer chocolate flavors, and Clementine's may have the very best chocolate ice cream I've ever tried! The affordability of their fares doesn't hurt either. Be forewarned that parking can be a bit tight if you go all the way to the end of the street and it's even harder to turn around when you want to leave. It's best to park around the corner and walk over. The only thing I wish they had was more indoor seating... or just more seating in general. It's still a fantastic date spot, though. A scoop and a stroll through lafayette is just plain idyllic. Definitely worth stopping by!

The porch mint was very nice and subtle, not overpowering which is appreciated. Equally as good was the peanut butter, coffee and kickass chocolate flavors. It's a tiny place so there's nowhere to sit inside and it was so busy there was nowhere to sit outside either. My smaller issue is with the price, $14+ for two small sundaes, but my bigger issue is that they were out of EVERYTHING I wanted to try/order. Whip cream? Sorry, out. Donut Chips? Sorry, out (or never had it was explained, so why is it on the board?). Salted Caramel ice cream? Sorry, out. Gooey Butter Cake ice cream? Sorry, out. How can you be out of whip cream?! Rather than being up-sold on another topping, I was actually down-sold on something called "What-a-ya-nuts", basically told that it was a St. Louis thing and it was weird. Anyway, it's a very nice idea this place and I appreciate the "we strive to be local" kind of thing, but I'm not going out of my way to return.

Great ice cream. I believe this place is relatively new, and I'm pretty new to St. Louis myself. The locale is a bit small, and its really weird that an ice cream shop lacks air conditioning. But, I didn't go there to hangout and dine-in at the nonexistent tables inside. I came for the creaaaaamy ice cream! And their flavors were great. I ended up tasting a good bunch of them, including: gooey butter cake, port mint, sweet corn, olive oil lemon verbena, strawberry w/ balsamic vinegar and whit pepper, brown butter candied pecan, Belgian beauty, chocolate cabernet, maple bourbon w/ salted and candied pecans. My favorites were the maple bourbon, olive oil lemon verbena, balsamic strawberry, and gooey butter cake. The maple bourbon was a bit too much bourbon, not because I can't hold the small bit of liquor, but because the high alcohol content makes it so that the freezing point of the mixture is lower and the ice cream is very soft. But their flavor pairings for all of their ice creams make so much sense, and it shows in the taste. I ended up getting 5 scoops of course; I recommend you trying a bunch and having fun! Places like these probably make adults feel four again, and for good reason. Happy Eating!

How has Lafayette Square gone this long without having an adorable place to get ice cream? Seriously, Clementine's is a genius for opening here. Lafayette is easily one of the cutest neighborhoods in St. Louis and Clementine's is the perfect edition. Now I can get ice cream, walk around the park, and stroll by historic homes all while enjoying some delicious ice cream. If that's not your speed, which you're crazy if it's not, you can also enjoy it on the patio. They have boozy flavors but I went with the traditional ones--dark chocolate and salted caramel. It was amazing. Paired it with a waffle cone and I was SET. I wish they wrapped that little piece of paper at the bottom so it doesn't drip on you but luckily I was prepared and didn't get any on me. Their smallest options are a bit pricy, with a cone the smallest scoop is a little over $5. You know how when you get a small and it really looks like a medium? Well this time it's actually small. It's literally two normal size scoops so you aren't going to want to share. Enough of my words. You must go here, get your favorite flavor, and walk around the Lafayette area on a warm summer night.

My friend wouldn't shut up about how amazing the ice cream was so we came here at about 9pm to satisfy a sweet tooth. The shop itself is very eclectic and well put together with marble tables and additional outdoor seating. You can choose naughty flavors (contain alcohol) or nice flavors (alc free) and the smallest serving is 2 scoops. I had the Summer Sweet Corn and the Maple Pecan Bourbon topped with salted caramel drizzle (use your check in offer for a free topping!). Both were delicious but I say the bourbon stole the show. I'm not a bourbon fan usually, but paired with ice cream and pecan pieces it was delicious! Definitely give in to your sweet tooth and try this place. It's just right around the corner from Lafayette Square.

This place is pretty much perfect in my opinion. Tucked away in the adorable neighborhood of Lafayette Square, it has a cute little courtyard for outdoor seating and is decorated perfectly inside. Every flavor was delicious -- good thing they complied with my need to taste at least half the flavors before begrudgingly deciding on two -- Tommie's Toffee and the Banana Rum. I had to do one naughty and one nice flavor. I'm glad I settled with just 2 scoops, the rich, decadent ice cream was very filling (but you can get up to 5!) Of course, I had to try out the waffle cone bowl my first go round -- definitely worth the extra splurge in price and calories. Tasty and crispy, the perfect compromise for someone who loves the flavor of the cone while still enjoying ice cream with a spoon (I'm picky). I can't wait to come back and eat every single other flavor. Plus, the owner/chef is so nice and friendly! She popped by and told us the story behind the toffee ice cream and just seems so happy and excited to be doing what she is doing. Very refreshing.

Walking into Clementine's, the tasteful decor looks like it was pulled off of a Pinterest page! The price point is a little steep (especially on my post-grad school budget), but coming here is definitely an "ice cream experience" and you can definitely tell that the quality and care put into their products is on a different level than many other ice cream shops in town. When I stopped in on a muggy May night last week, I sampled their moscow mule, front porch mint, and the (vegan) coconut chocolate fudge. When it came to decision making time, I decided on the salted crack caramel and madagascar vanilla. With chunks of salted chocolate cracker candy and vanilla bean specks had my taste buds in heaven for a few minutes! Fellow Yelpers have mentioned, they encourage you to sample as many flavors as you'd like to which I really appreciated! (Be prepared to show your ID, even for samples of the boozy flavors!) The portion sizes were on the smaller side, which was good for my waist line, but left my stomach asking for more! This little spot is a great addition to the Lafayette Park area. While this may not be a place I'll frequent weekly, I will definitely stop by Clementine's again on special occasions! For anyone that hasn't made their way to Clementine's yet, check out their website to see the available flavors. The pictures of the different scoops (both naughty and nice) were artistically taken and will have you drooling before you walk in the front door!

@clementinescreamery asked me via Twitter if I had tried their ice cream. They were already on my list and since they asked (in my foodie mind..insisted LOL), it moved them up on the list. I had two "Amazing" flavors: Salted CRACK Caramel and Summer South

"In the city, by the city for the city" is what owner Tamara Keefe shared with me and my guy about her awesome micro ice creamery. All natural and organic ingredients with a naughty (boozy) or nice (non boozy) selection. All the clerks are very nice and willing to let you sample every flavor your heart desires. The place has been open for 3 weeks and is jumping! Flavors change regularly but tonight I had 4 hands chocolate stout, bourbon maple and chocolate cabernet in a waffle bowl. Yummy! Side note, there's no indoor seating but there is a few seating options outside if you can beat the crowds. This place is jumping so check it out!

I came for the corn ice cream, ended up amazed by every single thing they let me put in my mouth. They let me try every flavor. They card for the "naughty" ones infused with alcohol (17%). I had the maple bourbon. Soooo delicious. Servings appeared small, but were just right due to the rich ingredients. I am coming back and bringing ALL my friends!!!!

I really wanted to love Clementine's. I looked forward to it opening and visited twice before writing this review. Let me start by saying they have a unique offering of ice cream flavors, including some with alcohol. I absolutely loved the chocolate flavor. However, their seating is limited inside and there is no shade on their patio. Both times I visited I had my two-year-old with me and we had to wait a very long time to get our sundaes even though we were the only ones in the store. Also, their toppings were not kid-friendly. All but one are some type of nut. I was hoping for some fruit toppings since my son loves fruit. In a nutshell, this is a great spot for a date night but I wouldn't recommend visiting with young children.

We just moved to STL, so I'm working on figuring which places are our new staples. We ran in here on a Sunday afternoon (second day it was open), and there was a constant stream of families coming in and out. I wanted something lighter, so I got the mint ice cream. It had an amazing smooth texture, but I could have stood a little more mint flavor in the ice cream. It was very delicate, which I'm sure was the intent...to show how different it is from the mint ice cream you can get at the store. My husband had the strawberry balsamic. Definitely my favorite of the two we ordered. The balance between sweet strawberries and acidic balsamic was played very well. We are definitely planning to come back to try the boozy ("naughty") ones. Maybe this place will fill the hole that leaving our favorite place in Chicago (Black Dog Gelato) has caused. Sophisticated with friendly service. Easy parking (they have their own lot). And they have a patio with plenty of room.

  • Donna S.

We were very disappointed in the price, the atmosphere and quality. It was approximately 85 degrees in the shop so don't expect to relax and eat your ice cream inside. My sundae cost $6.50 and was the size of a small Dixie cup. The cheap plastic spoon bent with each bite I tried to take and there was nothing special about the ice cream.

    (2)
  • Jenny S.

So good! For some reason when I heard "small batch" I assumed there would only be a few choices but there was actually a number of options. I tried gooey butter and strawberry balsamic--both were so delicious! My husband tried boozy banana and the kids got vanilla. Everything was very rich but so so good.

  • Natalie J.

Truly decadent, original flavors put Clementine's on top of Tower Grove Creamery, where many of the flavors taste kind of similar to each other. I've had the maple bourbon with salted candied pecans + manchego in a waffle cone, and the old fashioned + sweet corn (seasonal) in a waffle bowl so far. Don't skip the waffle vessel--so crispy and fresh! Given the quantity of ice cream and the boutique nature of the product, it's almost a bargain, really.

  • Katie M.

This place has ruined ice cream for me...that is ice cream that has not been made here. I love food but as I have grown older that love has transformed from the unabashed joy of a kid in a candy store to the refined appreciation of bourbon-based glaze. The ice cream at Clementine's has brought the two together. It is an ice cream for adults to enjoy with a childlike excitement because it really is the best. It is savory, tart, and perfectly sweet. The broad spectrum and creative craft of the flavors will satisfy the finer palette of those of us who have spent decades loving food. And not just because there is the boozy variety though it sure does help. You have spiced chocolate, sweet corn, and strawberry balsamic. This ice cream understands food and brings it to your stomach with the perfect amount of cream and sweetness. But the greatness of this parlor does not end with its ice cream. It is beautiful and sophisticated. Not to mention, the free water atop a mat with my favorite bourbon logo. The owner has quality taste and it bursts forth in the decor and atmosphere she has created. To end this review, if I go get ice cream from now on it will be here. And as it is summer, this will be quite often. As an added bonus, an ice cream parlor full of craft that gathers it's ingredients from local stl businesses is worth supporting. So I suggest if you want ice cream as well ensure it is here you are going.

Enjoy premium ice cream in a mix of delightfully unique flavors. I enjoyed Maple Bourbon with Salted Pecans along with Salted Carmel Ice Cream in a homemade waffle cone. Absolutely wonderful. I think I have found a must stop destination for travels to St. Louis.

I've been wanting to try this place since I read an article about it months before it even opened. The higher percentage of butterfat used piqued my interest since I'm such a huge fan of custard which has a higher fat content than ice cream overall. Just as I expected, this ice cream was amazing! Definitely creamier that what you're used to and the flavors were so unique. I tried the manchego and truffle which was interesting, but not my favorite. I settled on a coconut chocolate and gooey butter and was not disappointed. They even have little kid cones available, so my son happily snacked on a decadent chocolate. My husband got banana rum and something else that he loved. Overall, our bill was about $10 which was another awesome factor. Gourmet ice cream for the whole family that didn't break the bank is something I can stand behind.

Omg!! I can't get enough of their ice cream! I came here right after they opened, and it's at the end of a dead end street, so a tad out of the way, but well worth it! The building has lots of character, and the inside is whimsical. But the ice cream... So many gourmet flavors!! St Louis really needed a gourmet ice cream place, and they provided it! I had the truffle manchego cheese, and the gooey butter cake. Holy smokes, mind blown. I love manchego cheese, so I decided to try it. It has a cheese cakey flavor to it, and it's very unique and delicious. The gooey butter cake is their most popular and for good reason. They get the cake locally and all their ingredients are natural! What's not to love?? They also have boozy flavors which I'm told are delightful as well! So many flavors and you can sample to your heart's content. It's hard to narrow down your choices!!

Fantastic little creamery. They have naughty and nice flavors. The naughty flavors are infused with various types of alcohol--I tried their maple bourbon with candied pecans. Tasty, but stronger than my usual taste. My friends and I came here for the alcoholic ice cream but I ended up liking the nonalcoholic flavors even more. My favorites were the Lemon Verbena Olive Oil and Strawberry + Balsamic. I hope to return as soon as possible.

When I first moved to Lafayette Square I told many people it is perfect neighborhood except I wish the neighborhood had an Ice Cream Shop... A year later my wish has been answered. It was answered in a big-big way. Clementine's unique naughty and nice menu balances diverse flavors with the ability to have alcohol and nonalcohol flavored ice cream. The staff is polite and fun. They are generous of tastings. It just seems to fit the neighborhood like it has been here for years. All you really need to know is the ice is absolutely delicious

Great little shop with unique flavors. We could have easily tried all the flavors before ordering but felt like the patrons behind us wouldn't have appreciated it. Without realizing it, both my boyfriend and I went for the Maple Bourbon with salted and candied pecans and the Salted Crack Caramel. The flavors were highly concentrated and very sweet; the portions sizes were very small. Made for a great dessert without being too full. My only complaint was the price. I definitely support the higher cost for the quality of the flavors and that the business is a small local start up but I think a small adjustment to the price would make it easier to swallow the small portion size. No pun intended. Will be back! Yum!

It's delicious. The ice cream is fresh and creamy. The staff lets you sample whatever you want before you order it. I loved the salted crack caramel and the toffee butter brickle. The portions are small but you really don't need that much of it. Go there now.

Park on Lafayette and walk around the corner to this delightful little shop. My son and I each had small scoops - trying the coffee, milk chocolate, and balsamic strawberry. All were fantastic but the strawberry was hands down the best of the three. We then got two pints to go; salted caramel and then a boozy butterscotch and banana rum. Both also super tasty but my hubs thought the boozy choice was just too boozy. All in all some really great stuff. I'd like to see a few small tables indoors and the prices were quite steep. The two pints alone were 27$$. Yikes! I can't say I'll be here all the time but it's fabulous stuff for a special treat.

A lot of hype surrounding the opening of Clementine's and let me say, it is well deserved. I came in a few days after the official opening, and by reading all of the other Yelp reviews, I'm glad because it sounds like it was PACKED over the weekend. The owner and creative force behind the awesome naughty (boozy ice cream including flavors such as Old Fashioned and Moscow Mule) and nice (kiddo safe flavors including Madagascar Vanilla and Kick A** Chocolate) ice cream met me at the door and was very welcoming. I literally sampled almost EVERY SINGLE FLAVOR at the urging of the employees and was amazed. Sweet Corn flavor ice cream - surprisingly delicious. Front Porch Mint- yummy. Salted caramel (I forget the official name given to it)- awesome. I had a waffle cone and it was so darn tasty. Do yourself a favor and go. The owner says that they will be at the Tower Grove Farmers Market and the new Swap Meet at Lemp among other places!

A wide range of flavors to choose. Staffs were friendly. A great spot to spend a relaxing afternoon.

Look, here's the deal: Listeria outbreaks and subpar, chain frozen yogurt joints have ruined the good name of retail cold treats in America today. Let Clementine's restore your faith in the good name of dessert and corner neighborhood ice cream shops. Seriously, the reviews will speak for themselves. Leave Jeni's and get yourself to Clementine's if you want real ice cream.

You may think 'just another ice cream shop' but that couldn't be farther from the truth! The lovely chandelier and clean bright space give way to a true level of decadence for the palette!! Flavors like Maple Bourbon with candied pecans, manchego (cheese) with truffles (intoxicating) and many more exquisite flavors. They are rich and creamy and loaded with flavor! Keep in mind that the Naughty flavors (alcohol included in the mix) don't get as hard frozen as other ice creams...There are Nice flavors too the are quite delectable without alcohol and seasonal flavors to boot! The hardest part of your visit will be choosing which flavor but you can taste first. Then feel like a kid again as you sit on the back patio or a side bench and mingle with others, enjoying every luscious moment!!! I assure you it will be a repeat performance!!

  • Justin D.

Such a variety of flavors to choose from Naughty = alcoholic or Nice=non-alcoholic. $4.50 for a two scoop cone. The hardest part is choosing because of unique flavors like Strawberry Balsamic, a gooey butter cake, olive oil, maple bourbon, salted caramel, etc. it's located at the dead end of S 18th St cornered by Lafayette, there is patio seating, or take a pint home to enjoy!

  • Rachel F.

Gooey Butter Cookie Ice Cream!! WOW!!! Can't wait to go back Not a lot of seating and the line took a while ... also they were running low on a lot of ice cream at the time... other than that Amazing!

What a gem! This ice cream parlor is about the best you could ask for. As a Thai I highly appreciated the spectacular Coconut Lemongrass! Pure genius. Smooth a silk and perfect for the St Louis near sunset.

The most wonderful ice cream ever! The staff is incredibly helpful and witty! A wonderful place to come with a friend, a date, or the whole family! Fresh fruit and ingredients and most of all, Booze! The Strawberry is to die for!

Clementine's is a delightful addition to Lafayette Square - I've only been once so far, but I'm already planning my return trip! The maple bourbon ice cream - as many others have commented - is delicious ... Slightly less firm than most ice cream due to the alcohol content but still wonderfully creamy. I also tried the manchego truffle ice cream, which was a fabulous combination of sweet and savory. The truffle flavor was understated, and the manchego taste was reminiscent of the multiple different marscapone- containing Italian desserts. Can't wait to try the sweet corn ice cream on my next visit!

Ice-cream is very good!! We really enjoyed this place. There is limited seating and very little parking but if you can get in go!

  • Lisa R.

Some of the best ice cream I've had! The flavors were interesting and perfectly executed. They had just the right amount of oomph and the ice cream was the perfect texture. My fave was the corn. It was the perfect summer treat. I would prefer Clementines over St. Louis frozen custard any day.

My first time at Clementine's! Another great choice by my wife who had already been here with her friends some time ago. I am a lover of sweats, and ice cream, and anything cold on a hot day so Clementine's hit the spot. We each had the three flavored. Mine in a cup and hers in a waffle cup. The maple bourbon ice cream was pretty amazing and my favorite. The prices are comparable to the other dessert shops and ice cream parlors we have visited so there's no sticker shock. It's a small place with only one place to sit but it has a really nice outdoor area that you can hideaway in for as long as you want. This fit right in between our afternoon lunch at the Greek Festival and drinks at Square One!

  • Mary A.

They do not allow dogs inside (to be expected), but there is a hitching "post" outside for a leash. There is also outdoor seating (one long bench and 1 small table with 3 seats). The ladies inside were so friendly and eager to let us sample as much as we wanted. There is a boozy side (naughty) and a more traditional side (nice). The only downside to the boozy ice cream is that it never quite "sets" and melts much faster (duh, there is alcohol in it). The place smells like a wonderful waffle cone since they are behind the counter making them fresh. There really isn't one "traditional" flavor here- everything is slightly more elevated and more tasty than what you would find at a normal ice cream shop. Great experience! We found parking on Lafayette instead of accessing the shop from 18th Street. The shop is only 1 or 2 doors down from Lafayette vs. a drive around the block would have taken 5 more minutes.

  • Kevin B.

Awesome local ice cream place on a dead end street off of Lafayette Square. We tried five different flavor and everyone raved about their choices. To top off a great bowl of ice cream was the Yelp checkin offer of a free topping. The staff recommended the Salted Crack Carmel with Candied Pecans and it was an excellent recommendation. We'll definitely be back

  • Christy A.

Tracy was a real trooper today! She pretty much reinforced my 5 star update. I tried at least 6 flavored and asked a sum of about 8 questions and Tracy didn't blink twice, snarl once or quit. Let me say this "YOU CANT LOSE NO MATTER WHAT YOU CHOOSE." I couldn't pass up the Coconut Chocolate Fudge (don't get disappointed if it's not as "coconutty" as you may imagine) the coconut is purely from the coconut milk used and not actual coconut flakes; so it's not potent. It's soooooo good though. The Lemongrass was infused to perfection and paired well with my Chocolate and Manchego Honey flavors. Lastly, Yelp was kind enough to extend a hand with 1 free topping. I took advantage of the Salted Pecans. Couldn't have topped my creams off any better but next time I'm trying the Pistachios.

This is such an adorable and chic ice cream parlor! I love the mint/black/white color scheme and decor throughout the parlor. The staff is very helpful and friendly. They offered us as many samples as we wanted. All of the flavors I tried here were good. I ended up going with the mint chocolate stout (boozy and amazing!), manchego with truffles and honey (savory and delicious), and the salted cracked caramel (super sweet and rich) in a waffle bowl. I was very impressed with my experience and will definitely be back!

I'm so excited to have a new ice cream place here in STL and I'm so excited that yesterday I finally got to try it!!! I would put this ice cream in the same category as Jeni's and (if you're familiar with KC) Glace. It's gourmet, made from high quality ingredients and it's all about creative and unique flavors. My husband is crazy about their Gooey Butter Cake Ice Cream! So I got one scoop of that with one scoop of Toffee Butter Brickle in a cone. Two cones cost us just under $12. Definitely on the pricey side, but I'm willing to pay that for good ice cream. This stuff was perfectly creamy and smooth and melted in just the right way! It should be noted that they sell their ice cream in two-scoop increments. The small, is two scoops. The large is four scoops. The scoops are definitely bigger than the tiny ones you would get at Jeni's, but they're small compared to Ices or to Jilly's. I'm really excited to visit again and see what new flavors they have to offer!

I was hoping to give this place 5 solid stars but two things sorta bothered me about my first visit... One, there were 2 folks working but neither acknowledged our arrival. One left the line (behind the counter) and walked between us. She smiled but didn't say anything. Once we got to order, the girl seemed friendly and excitedly told us we could sample any of the flavors. I tried 2 and my partner did the same. I like the atmosphere and I like the naughty and nice concept of their flavors. I did 2 scoops of the naughty (naughty means alcohol). Banana Rum. It was good but NOT exceptional. The Maple Bourbon was a hot mess and the girl told us they mixed it wrong and so it didn't have the consistency of ice cream...it was sorta like melted ice cream. Oh, that was the 2nd part of what I didn't like about this visit. If you can't sell it as ice cream, don't have it on display. The girl offered it in a cup but who wants to eat "melted ice cream?" As I paid for our order, I was excited to try what we ordered and told the girl I was tweeting with someone about when they would open, then the girl was on her phone. At first I thought perhaps she was the one who tweets and was going to show me something on her phone but she didn't and instead had her head buried into her phone. I stood there for a second confused about what just happened. I'll give this place another shot cause I like ice cream and I love unique flavors of ice cream but I hope they can coach their staff to focus on the customer experience!

Stopped in for their soft opening and went back today for another go with hubby! Fantastic ice cream in all sorts of unique flavors and combinations. The first visit I sampled about every single one (don't judge) and my FAVORITE one is the Maple Bourbon with candied pecans...yum!! I will note that you get two scoops, in case they don't mention that....so you can pick two different flavors. Our two orders of two sugar cones was 10.00. Pints are also 10.00 Great addition to the neighborhood!

  • Muja B.

What an amazing place! The flavors are phenomenal. Had the chocolate mole and lemon verbena Olive oil. Amazing! The ingredients are all local. Service is great. Only downfall is that it's pricey. For two small scoops about $4.89.

  • Joe E.

they have.... ready for it.... are you sure??? Ok you're ready... Gooey Butter ice cream!!!!! Brown Butter Pecan ice cream... They have some of the best ice cream I've ever had!! They are a small little shop and a wonderful addition to our fine city.

  • Mer P.

WOW! So yeah, this is just stupid pricey, especially for St. Louis (sorry). BUT, these flavors?! So innovative. I was looking all around NYC last week for something exactly like this and I found a place in Brooklyn that *almost* came close...but definitely didn't blow my socks off like Clementine's. I mean, that olive oil lemon verbena? What? I wanted to take a bath in it (no seriously, can I, because I'm sure my skin would look and smell awesome - if not a bit sticky). JUST GO (except not on the nights I'm there, the line moved fast, but I got antsy)

  • Emily M.

I ran into Clementine's for the second time at ALIVE Magazine's #WeHeartSTL, as they won an award for being super awesome in St. Louis. The two women at the sampling table were very friendly and knowledgable! I sampled four flavors, 2 naught & 2 nice: Milk Chocolate Stout Maple Bourbon w/Salted Candied Pecans Lemon Buttermilk Chess Pie Toffee Butter Brickle All the flavors were incredible. I particularly liked the Milk Chocolate Stout & Lemon Buttermilk Chess Pie. You can really tell the quality of the product. I can't speak to the price point, as I haven't made my way in..but it is definitely gourmet and totally worth it. Unless it's like, $800. That would be steep.

    (5)
  • Abby K.

Great thick ice cream, definitely a bit pricey but good as a special treat. I had the chocolate cabernet and the maple bourbon pecan (both from the 'naughty' side of the display case) and I'd recommend them both. There's a little patio outside that's a nice place to sit if it's not too hot.

  • Kerry T.

Clementine's is literally the best ice cream I have had. I thought it was even tastier than The Fountain on Locust's Coconut Almond Joy, which is saying a lot! The flavors are incredibly unique (Manchego with truffles & honey) and so creamy and smooth! The salted crack caramel flavor was by far my fave. It tasted so much better than other salted caramel varieties and had huge chunks of candied saltied caramel. OMG- so tasty! My husband's front porch mint tasted just like the way fresh mint leaves smell and was so refreshing. I can't wait to go back!

  • Bridget D.

Went to clementines tonight for an after dinner delight! Jessica was a wonderful help so that we could find the perfect flavors!! There were so many great choices - it was hard to decide what to get. I will definitely be back to get another scoop or two ;)

  • Adrienne L.

This is a cute place! I've been so excited to get here, and finally made it! There are some really unusual flavors, like lemon verbena and olive oil, you can even top your ice cream with olive oil or balsamic vinaigrette! They have naughty flavors like maple bourbon & chocolate Cabernet. Of course, if you're from Stl, you'll want to try the gooey butter cake flavor, which is awesome! The ice cream is good, and made in house. They charge too much for a half pint to go, but the ready to eat prices aren't bad. There are no drinks for sale here, strictly a microcreamery.

  • K B.

They were out of many flavors on my visit, but I'd like to think that they're still working things out, having just opened in June. Based on the flavors listed, however, I can say I'm definitely looking forward to coming here more often. I love ice cream flavors that are just weird enough to get you to try them, like the Strawberry with a Balsamic Swirl.

OMG!!! The Front Porch Mint .... The Old Fashioned ... too many incredible options! The best ice cream in town without a doubt!!!!

I have now been to Clementine's several times. I am so excited to have such a fun venue in our neighborhood!!!! The staff is always super friendly! The ice cream is beyond amazing!!!! I am still trying to decide what my favorite flavor is. Major to kudos to you Clementines Creamery for being AWESOME!!!!!

This might just be the best ice cream in St. Louis. So many different flavors that all look so delicious. The best ice cream I tried was the Salted Crack Caramel. Oh my gosh. It was out of this world. The chocolate cracker candy adds the perfect crunch to this creamy ice cream. Wow. So obviously, I got a scoop of that along with the gooey butter cake. That was very good as well. But whatever you do, get a scoop of the Salted Crack Caramel. I promise you that it will be one of the best things you have ever eaten.

Clementine's is a fun, hole-in-the-wall ice cream eatery that has a lot of unique flavors including "naughty" flavors containing alcohol. I got a waffle cone of the Gooey Butter Cake and the Moscow Mule (with 18% alcohol) and was extremely pleased with both the taste and the service I received. I also sampled the banana rum, which was excellent as well. I'd definitely recommend Clementine's to anyone who enjoys ice cream!

  • Catherine K.

My boyfriend and I love this place! We go here for basically any reason, and it is always worth it! Their ice creams are fresh, filling but not overly decadent, and the people who work there are really nice. They encourage you to sample everything until you find the one that you want. My favorite "naughty" ice cream is the Moscow Mule, but I also really like the banana rum. The "nice" ice creams are delicious, as well. I really like the brown butter pecan. The waffle cones are also really good. If you haven't been, you need to go!

High quality, great flavors. The seasonal flavors are great too. It is a little pricey - but they use high quality ingredients and you can tell from the first bite - creamy, but doesn't coat your entire mouth. I'd highly recommend this place for date nights.

  • Marlo S.

First and only ice cream I've tasted in St. Louis that compares with the gourmet places on the coast. Flavors reminded me of Christina's in Cambridge, MA. Texture was perfect. Yes, it's pricey. Deal with it folks. Great ice cream ain't cheap. Cheap ice cream is rarely great.

  • Ken L.

Clementines is ok. The ice cream is good, I would like a larger portion. No place inside to sit if you would like to stay out of the hot summer sun. It's out of the way, but not that difficult to find. I still prefer gelato. I'm not sure if I'll go back. Not impressed

Very, very good ice cream. I had the Nutella and it was the perfect mix of chocolate and hazelnut. A little pricy but will be back for a treat.

Wonderful decor - nice variety of flavors and different flavors too. My biggest issue was the cost of two double dip (small size dips of ice cream) for $11.00 plus tax. Once was enough - sorry, but I will not be returning. Wishing you well.

I first had Clementine's at a Yelp Elite event a handful of months back. At that time it was the Gooey Butter Cake flavor and it was to die for! Our next experience was at the Lafayette Trick or Treat event where the owner was handing out free cones to kids (and adults like me who pretended to be a kid). That time around we had a pumpkin flavor that was perfection. For the holidays, we decided to purchase some pints of ice cream to take to our family for dessert. We ordered Maple Bourbon Pecan, Chocolate Stout, Salted Crack Caramel, and Malted Milk Delight. All of them are made with locally sourced ingredients and were packed full of flavor. I couldn't have been more impressed with the service as well - their store front isn't open yet from my understanding, but they delivered straight to my door for free! A perfect treat for the holidays. I was raised in Wisconsin and have been on the hunt for a legit hard scoop ice cream place in the Saint Louis area for a long time. Finally, we have one. I can't wait for the location to officially open, I know we'll be regulars there.

Wow. Just stopped by for the grand opening and bought 4 pints. Great variety of flavors. I'm enjoying the maple bourbon with candied salted pecans.....absolutely amazing. Great complement to the other lafayette square businesses. So excited to have Clementine's in our neighborhood.

Went here with about 8 other people and we were able to have apace on the patio since there was hardly anyone else there. I had a double scoop in a waffle bowl. I can't remember the two flavors I chose, but they were great and so was everything I sampled before choosing. A bit pricey, but once you taste it you'll understand what you're paying for. The ladies behind the counter were super nice as well. Not a single knock on Clementine's.

Oh how the square has needed this place! Cute shop with delicious ice cream! I was impressed with the fresh flavors and depth of combinations. 2 scoops can be different flavors is the smallest serving which was seriously more then enough for me. 3 types of come selections-sugar, cake and waffle. Or opt for a bowl. They were out of the seasonal key lime pie so I'll be back to try it. The balsamic strawberry with white pepper was my favorite tonight. I also got to try from members in my party summer sweet corn, manchugo and truffle, Nutella, Madagascar vanilla, and mid night pleasure. I liked all of them. I love that they have self serve water available to everyone. I'm in trouble that this is walking distance and I'm holding my breath for a seasonal flavor with a boozy cider! (Please!) Also I'm excited to try doughnut chips as a topping! The staff was very friendly and helpful- they were genuine and attentive. Keep up the good work.

Even after a long, hectic first day of business, the staff at Clementines were still upbeat and super friendly. That alone would draw me back but they also have an amazing assortment of ice creams that will require many more visits to try all that sound appealing. The space is fun and bright, too. My first visit included decadent coffee and midnight pleasure. Loved the Midnight Treasure, if I would have thought about it, I shouldn't have ordered the coffee as it is made with Park Ave. Coffee and I'm not a fan, but that is just a personal preference. Can't wait to try other flavors!

Such a cute place! Ice cream was delicious as well. I'd definitely give it 5 stars if the portion sizes were a tad bigger. Feels slightly like a rip off for the price.

We stopped by today and got some amazing ice cream! I got the strawberry with balsamic and white pepper, and the salted crack caramel and both were beyond delicious. My boyfriend got the triple chocolate ice cream and the maple bourbon with salted pecans. We couldn't stop raving to each other about how good our choices were. Their naughty ice creams are wonderfully boozy and still so creamy and tasty. We are going to make stopping by Clemetines a weekly ritual, I already can't wait to go back for more! Also for vegans, there was an amazing chocolate coconut fudge ice cream that I honestly could've gotten a whole bowl of- it was way better than any other vegan ice cream I've ever tasted, and I've tried a lot! Definitely stop in for some fantastic ice cream, and make sure to get it in their house made waffle cones!

I remember when my friend first had me try the gooey buttercake ice cream the room went silent. It was seriously the most AMAZING thing I had ever tasted and I was HOOKED. Although the store isn't open yet the owner Tamara will deliver. I just had 4 pints delivered to my home by her and she is just a delight! I hope everyone gets the pleasure of meeting her and trying her wonderful crearions! When her store does open I will her #1 customer.

You haven't tasted ice cream until you have Clementine's Ice Cream! Hand crafted and truly one of a kind. So many flavors to choose from, I'm sure that you'll have multiple favorites. I love the rich taste and flavor that comes in every bite. Make a trip to Clementine's, you won't regret it!

  • Rhonda F.

First, I agree with the previous reviewer that this place is hard to find. I did a drive-by on my way to work and couldn't find it because I didn't know 18th street is blocked from Lafayette Ave. On the way home, I used my GPS to get there. Secondly, I consider myself to be somewhat of an ice cream connoisseur and while I think Clementine's ice cream is definitely rich, creamy and delectable, I found it to be too sweet for my palate, but that's just me. I asked if they could pack a pint of two flavors, but the guys working said they didn't have pint containers and I could only purchase the pre-packaged ones. Okay, no problem, until they told me $10 per pint!???!? Egads! And the "naughty" flavors are $15!! ZOINKS! No thanks. The only time I paid $10 for a pint of ice cream was because I desperately wanted to try Jeni's Splendid Ice Cream and it was my only option outside of Ohio. If I want super premium ice cream that I know tastes awesome, I'll go to Dierbergs and buy a pint of Graeter's for $5. Given those caveats, I perused the display case and sampled the Sweet Corn and Front Porch Mint. At first the Sweet Corn just tasted like vanilla, but I could definitely detect sweet corn on the finish. Eating a scoop would probably be quite tasty. The fresh mint was incredible. I'll definitely be going back for that one. I didn't select anything from the "naughty" side. The Bourbon flavor looked like a tub of soup. I made that comment and the guy told me that the high alcohol content makes it difficult to freeze. I call BS on that because I have made ice cream with alcohol and it will freeze solid. Maybe it is difficult to keep it solid in a dipping cabinet, but if I wanted to eat runny ice cream, I'd order a shake. When I look at the pictures for this flavor on the Clementine's website, it looks like a bowl of soup there too. Not at all appealing to me. In the end, I got two petit servings (two scoops each @ $4.50) of four different flavors to take home. The guys rigged the container my putting another container on top and binding with saran wrap. I really appreciated that!!! The flavors were: Kicka$$ Chocolate, Salted Crack Caramel, Gooey Butter Cake, and Strawberry. All rich. All creamy. Mostly too sweet. The chocolate .... meh. The caramel ... I felt cheated on the crunchy candy and caramel both. The Gooey Butter is delish even though it is loaded with almost too much richness. But hey, that's butter cake and ice cream. Totally what I expect. The strawberry tasted more like a sherbet than ice cream which was refreshing, but the strawberry flavor wasn't all that outstanding. Maybe I tried too many flavors at once to really appreciate each. I also shared all that with my sister. She says the chocolate and strawberry did nothing for her. Yummy to the salted caramel and gooey butter cake.

Best tasting ice cream I've had. Creative flavors that really get you excited. Customer service and staff are very friendly. Only suggestion, for the price, can you provide slightly bigger scoops? Other than that, keep up the great work!

I was so excited to try Clementine's and they were kind enough to plan their grand opening on my birthday weekend so I couldn't think of a better excuse to go! I am a huge ice cream fan and have made my rounds to all of the places in STL and I must say, Clementine's has already risen to #1. (I mean this in the true ice cream category. I'm not comparing it to custard, gelato, or frozen yogurt). We stopped in around 6:30 Sunday evening and there were a few folks sitting outside when we walked up and a few folks inside ordered. It's a small place and I'm sure as it gets more popular (which it will) the line will easily spill outside and down the sidewalk. By tonight it was easy in, easy out. It's a cute place. Very simple with a beautiful big chalkboard menu and big barrels of ice cream in the well-lit case. We were greeted by a friendly girl who explained the concept (even though I was fully aware it was good customer service to not assume everyone is familiar with new places in town) and told us we could try as many flavors as we wanted. I tried a couple and already knew I wanted a scoop of banana rum with salted butterscotch swirl but was struggling to decide what flavor would go well with it in my bowl. Tamara, the owner, was at the register and suggested the sweet corn, which was one of the flavors I had tried and it was delicious and her suggestion sealed the deal. I had one scoop of each in a bowl and my husband had one scoop each of chocolate peanut butter, coffee, and vanilla in a bowl. The total for all five scoops was $10, which I think is reasonable. They were small scoops but it was very rich and very flavorful. You don't need a lot. I tried all five scoops we had and they were all amazing! The sweet corn was definitely my favorite but I also thoroughly enjoyed the banana rum. I love boozy ice cream concoctions but sometimes they can go terribly wrong and you can feel like you're eating a shot. Clementine's got it right, though. The bite of rum came through perfectly with still a healthy dose of banana. But truly, the Southern sweet corn was the star for me. If you're hesitant because you think corn and ice cream are a weird combo I assure you, it's not. Taste it and you'll be immediately thinking of how you can make it at home because that's exactly what I was doing. I got a pint of Front Porch Mint to take home and paid for it while still at the counter but we were planning to sit outside and eat our scoops so I asked if I could leave it inside in the freezer while we ate and Tamara said of course and put it in a little bag so that they would know I already paid for it when I came back in a few min later. When I did come back in I had a wonderful chat with Tamara. I told her how excited I was for the shop to open and how much I appreciated her using all local ingredients when possible. She said she tried to get everything local and when she couldn't find it local she got the best she could. And you can definitely taste it. The ice cream is so rich and flavorful. The Front Porch Mint has little specks of mint grown in their own garden and it tastes like the sweetest, richest cream with true, fresh mint. Words can't really begin to describe it. Everything in the place is made with care and love, and in my opinion, earns the descriptors "plain and fancy" way more than that other place. As Tamara said, it's ice cream. It's supposed to be rich and decadent. It's not rocket science. It's just amazing, amazing ice cream. I will absolutely be back soon!

Best ice cream in St. Louis we've had so far. Creamy and fresh. Naughty (w/ alcohol) and Nice (no alcohol) flavors. We liked the vanilla Madagascar, coffee, and chocolate Cabernet. We're definitely coming back to try more flavors.

Heard about this place after leaving another ice cream place in STL by a street stranger telling us it was "way better" at Clementine's. The store itself is tiny and adorable. Cute decor. Smells wonderful. Maybe because it was so built up, but I visited today and was sadly disappointed. I sampled 6 flavors. The flavor selection seemed great, but if someone was to blindly hand me a spoon of any of their flavors and ask me what it was, I likely couldn't tell you. Ended up going with "salted caramel crack" which was just alright. I really wanted this place to be awesome. The counter girl was nice. The other patrons seemed to be repeat customers, and they were all really excited to be back. If this ice cream wasn't hyped and was being sold at the grocery store, I'd say it was standard at best. I think this may be a case of loving local for local sake, and I just can't do it. Back to my original love I go.

Adult ice cream (bring your ID) and regular ice cream. This place was amazing. Went for a walk after a late dinner and found this cute place. The employees were still dancing at 10:30 pm. Highly recommend this place.

Delicious ice cream. Unique flavors and very friendly staff willing to let you try all the flavors. I went with a triple scoop fish, chocolate mole, strawberry balsamic vinagerette with white pepper and the ooey gooey butter cake. It was like an artisanal neapolitan, amazing!

Went in this evening expecting to have a good experience after hearing about friends good experiences. Unfortunately went at a bad time. Went in and sampled many excellent flavors, the manchego with truffles was excellent. This was overruled buy the horrible customer service. Will not be going back.

First visit today & plan to return soon. Owner & staff were kind & welcoming . They gave us samples of 7 flavors. I chose 2 different flavors in a waffle cup and my friend chose 2 different flavors. WOW they were excellent and flavorful. You definitely taste the kick. Nice addition to Lafayette Square.

What a lovely addition to the neighborhood! The Naughty & Nice ice creams are so delicious. Be sure to bring your ID, you'll need it to try the Naughty ones (they're boozy). My favorite Nice flavor was the Strawberry Balsamic White Pepper.. Reminds me of Salt & Straw in Portland. Highly recommend checking this place out and taking them up on the offer to sample as many flavors as you want.
